The Flathead Mullet (mugil cephalus) is a globally found common fish that is often preyed upon by sea birds and larger fish. It is often seen jumping out of water to quickly escape from predators.

They form in very large schools over sandy bottoms and in reefs. It eats algea and other fish's egg occasionally, and is one of the most common fish.
